Welcome to the Andy Flinn web site! Hear music, see video and find out about shows  and press:

“Andy Flinn is of Danish and Swiss decent, was born in Canada but grew up in Switzerland. Andy has an incredible beat boxing style of mouth music and is the lead percussionist for the group.  With a background of fronting rock bands, Andy’s knowledge of different languages and well-travelled soul make him a very gifted songwriter.” (Fleur Mainville, New Glasgow News)

Andy’s mom played Mozart on piano and took him to see Lionel Hampton, Monty Alexander, Chris Barber and the like. His first vinyl appearance was on a single “Gruusig Schliimig” (Chinook, Switzerland, 1983) and an LP “Storming” (1984). He left Switzerland in 1985.

With the Duo “Thugs at Bay”, in many incarnations, Andy spent many years on the road. Their music is

quirky, exotic and enjoyable,” (CBC’s Stan Carew’s description of their CD Eye to Eye, 2013).

Andy has performed coast to coast, from BC to Labrador, in India, Europe and China, at festivals and farmers markets, in live houses, arenas and soft-seat theatres.
